Bettinger selected for Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship
Professor Christopher Bettinger has been selected as the seventh winner of the Journal of Materials Chemistry Lectureship in recognition of the important contributions he has made to the materials chemistry field. This lectureship honors a younger scientist who has made a significant contribution to the field and is within 10 years of attaining their doctorate or equivalent degree.
Matyjaszewski, Bockstaller, and Bettinger publish on collaborative project
The research groups of Kris Matyjaszewski, Michael Bockstaller, and the Bettinger Group publish two articles on the use of tailored synthesis of star block copolymers (Matyjaszewski & Bettinger) and polymer structures to control the formation of nanoparticle geometries (Bockstaller, Matyjaszewski, and Bettinger). These manuscripts are published in the journals Macromolecules and Polymer, respectively.
Proud defends her PhD dissertation
Proud Pholpabu successfully defended her PhD thesis and graduates from the BME program. She will return to Thailand as a research professor. Congrats, Proud!
Proud publishes paper on reducing epidermal down growth
Proud publishes a paper in in ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering on the use of controlled release strategies to reduce in vivo epidermal down growth in murine model. Insights into controlled release dynamics from elastomeric matrices are also included.
Bettinger and Matyjaszewski to develop disappearing planes
A DARPA-funded effort to design the next generation of materials for use in disappearing airplanes is underway! We are excited for the opportunity to work on this problem. Thank you, DARPA!
